Hi, I'm Cole Manning — aka RVRX or Rare. I'm a Massachusetts-based Infrastructure Engineer with a background in computer science and cybersecurity (WPI '23).

This site is part dev blog, part hobby-project documentation. Posts tend to fall into a few buckets: hands-on guides for niche problems I couldn't find good documentation for, narrative write-ups of homelab builds and hardware finds, and the occasional creative project.

Outside of infrastructure work, I moonlight as a VJ and audiovisual enthusiast. I've done live audiovisual performances using TouchDesigner, driving LED walls and projectors with audio-reactive visuals. My senior capstone at WPI was a system for piloting an RC car from inside a VR headset — the research paper is here if you're curious.
